Available Positions

Lifeguard
The Downtown and Pierson Rd Branches are hiring Red Cross certified lifeguards (professional rescuers) or confident swimmers willing to be trained. Duties include the ability to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses. Willingness to teach swim lessons in both a group or private session is a plus. 

Membership Representative
The Member Service Staff is part of a team responsible for the overall delivery of excellent customer service to all members, guests, and participants of the branch. You’ll be responsible for the sale of programs and services, responding to member and guest needs, promoting programs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the Member Service Area. 

Camp Boomerang
Camp Boomerang offers employment in a number of seasonal positions at the Pierson Rd Facility. Open Camp staff positions are Camp Boomerang Director, Camp Boomerang Coordinator, and Camp Boomerang Counselors.
We look for people who have a genuine love for children, who are kind and patient, who show a love for the outdoors and are happy to share that with children, and who support the YMCA mission.

Custodial
The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. The incumbent is accountable for the completions of assigned duties with a minimum level of supervision. Duties include, but are not limited to, mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, lawn care, and other general cleaning responsibilities. The incumbent interacts positively with members and staff and responds to requests personally or inform the appropriate maintenance staff member.

Building Supervisor (Coverage)
The Building Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and securing the safety of YMCA facilities ensuring members and guests receive exceptional customer service. The incumbent conducts walk-throughs and patrols the facility to preserve order and protect property. The incumbent may assist in membership duties and respond to member questions and concerns.

Camp Copneconic
Camp Copneconic offers employment in a number of seasonal and part-time positions. Camp staff positions range from education instructors working with youth, kitchen staff, housekeeping staff, and more. We look for people who have a genuine love for children, who are kind an patient, who show a love for the outdoors, and are happy to share that with children, and who support the YMCA mission.
