We are excited to announce the our 2026 summer day camp programming at our Pierson Road YMCA. Camp Discovery Trails welcomes day campers, ages 6 to 12, to the Pierson Road YMCA this summer! Choose from our ten, one-week sessions filled with activities and adventures designed to foster creativity, encourage learning, promote social interaction, and build a sense of accomplishment and belonging in every child.
Campers bring their own lunches with sealed “grab-and-go” snacks to be provided each morning and afternoon.
YMCA membership is NOT required to participate.
DISCOVERY TRAILS SUMMER OFFERING
Grand Opening( June 15-19)
Kick off the summer in style at YMCA Discovery Trails Summer Day Camp! During our Grand Opening week, campers will jump into exciting games, team challenges, and creative activities designed to welcome everyone and set the tone for an unforgettable 10-week adventure. It’s the perfect start to the summer—full of energy, new friendships, and fun that launches us into the BEST SUMMER EVER!
Video Games Come To Life! (June 22-26)
Campers dive into a world where their favorite video games come to life through immersive, hands-on activities. Each day, campers can level up their skills in challenges inspired by classic games, from obstacle courses designed like Super Mario worlds to team-based missions inspired by multiplayer battle royales.
Wacky Water Week (June 29-July 3)
Get ready for a splash-tacular time at Wacky Water Week, where campers dive into wild water games and challenges all week long. From water balloon battles to slip-n-slide races, campers stay cool while enjoying fun-filled, wet and wacky adventures under the sun!
Lights, Camera, Action! (July 6-July 9)
At this action-packed week, Campers step into the director’s chair to create their own movie from start to finish. From brainstorming ideas and writing scripts to filming and editing, campers work together to bring their cinematic vision to life, culminating in a special screening of their finished project.
The Great Carnival (July 13-17)
Step right up for a week of excitement and creativity at Discovery Trails Summer Day Camp! Campers will enjoy carnival-style games, fun challenges, and festive activities, all leading up to a special talent show where they can shine and show off their unique skills. It’s a high-energy week filled with laughter, confidence-building moments, and unforgettable summer fun!
Wild West Week (July 20-24)
Saddle up for a week of western adventures, from gold rush treasure hunts to rodeo games and cowboy crafts. Campers will learn to lasso, compete in friendly “showdowns,” and immerse themselves in the fun and excitement of the Wild West!
Nifty Ninjas ( July 27-31)
Unleash your inner warrior at this action-packed Ninja-themed summer camp, where campers train in agility, stealth, and strength through obstacle courses and stealth missions. Campers will master ninja skills, from climbing and balance to teamwork, all while having fun in a fast-paced, adventure-filled week!
Mega Messy Week ( August 3-7)
dive into a world of creative chaos! From mudslide races to paint wars and slime-filled obstacle courses, it’s the ultimate week for those who love getting messy while having a blast. With endless activities designed to challenge and entertain, Mega Messy Week promises unforgettable memories and a chance to embrace the wild side of summer!
Amazing Race ( August 10-14)
Ready, set, go! During Amazing Race week at Discovery Trails Summer Day Camp, campers will team up to tackle fun challenges, solve puzzles, and race through exciting activities that test teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. It’s a fast-paced, adventure-filled week that keeps everyone moving, cheering, and having a blast from start to finish!
Grand Finale ( August 17 – 21)
Is a celebration of all the fun, friendships, and memories made throughout the summer. Campers will enjoy exciting activities, special events, and thrilling challenges as they reflect on their growth and accomplishments. The week will culminate in a spectacular closing ceremony, where everyone comes together to celebrate the unforgettable summer experience with laughter, music, and recognition.
PROGRAM HOURS
Day camps operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
OUR FACILITIES
The Pierson Road YMCA sits on 25 acres of woods and wetlands. Campers enjoy our trails, archery range, soccer fields, nine-hole disc golf course, playground, and everyone’s favorite — the GaGa pit!
