What We Do
The Mission of the YMCA of Greater Flint is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. With our focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y nurtures the potential of every youth and teen, improves the nation’s health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
What Makes a Y Different?
The YMCA recognizes the potential of all people to make our community better. Because we want eliminate barriers that prevent people from coming to the Y, we provide many free and income-based programs to make it easier for everyone to come to the Y.

Partner With Youth Campaign
This campaign raises money to fund the important work happening every day at the YMCA of Greater Flint. From free programs like our Safe Places Afterschool and Safety Around the Water to camperships to attend camp and income-based memberships for youth, families, and seniors, the funds raised help over 8,000 people each year. Help us make a difference in the lives of so many people by donating, volunteering, or attending an event!
The Y provides assistance to ensure that all youth, families, and seniors can use the services at the Y. Visit this page for more information about Income-Based Memberships
